HIGH SHERIFF OF CHESHIRE PAYS VISIT TO HOLMES CHAPEL STATION
19th October 2008

On Sunday 19th October, the High Sheriff of Cheshire paid a visit to Holmes Chapel Station to oversee the latest bulb-planting being carried out by Holmes Chapel Scouts.

The visit was in recognition of the funding provided by Cheshire Crimebeat towards the project.  Flowers for the station have been provided by Holmes Chapel Parish Council to add to the existing floral display provided by VisitCheshire, Northern Rail, Cheshire County Council and the Community Rail Partnership.

The flowers are part of an initiative not only to brighten up stations on the line, but also to raise the profile of Cheshire Year of Gardens 2008, which celebrates the floral heritage of the county.
