The Weavils - the four-piece band from the banks of the mighty River Weaver in Northwich- will be playing on the music train from Manchester and at the Golden Pheasant pub in Plumley. Leaving Manchester Piccadilly at 18:17 (Stockport 18:30, Altrincham 18:46) and returning at 22:35.

The music train uses one of the regular hourly services on the Mid Cheshire line. There is no charge for the event - just the price of your ordinary train ticket. Your 'admission' is the train fare. Other than drinks and food at the pub, there is nothing else to pay - though there is a collection for the musicians at the end.

Acoustak, the Chester-based trio, are playing and singing on the Music Train and at the Golden Pheasant pub in Plumley on Wednesday 8 July. The band's repertoire ranges from country, folk and pop through to bluegrass and old time. The train leaves Chester at 19:07 and we return at 22:45.
